For some reason the feeling I get from it is much the same feeling as the feeling I get from American Gothic—there’s a sadness to it, a strangeness, a secret running deep. [Update 1: feels a bit like Diane Arbus as well. The same twins are the subject of an October 2008 picture. Update 2: Via Altamira, the twins are from Saudi Arabia and are Sama and Haya Abukhadra.
