For example according to the notes of the October 2002 cabinet meeting, Saddam Hussein believes that Zionist interests (not “real American interests”) are behind America’s “hostile policy”: “the American people’s interests lies in dealing with peoples in the world peacefully so as to make its trade interests stable and achieve prosperity with the whole world.” 12:59
